Job summary

AECOM is seeking a self-motivated, experienced Geologist for our Denver, Colorado office. The successful candidate will support Project Managers in planning, field oversight, and evaluation of hydrogeologic and reporting phases for environmental projects.

Travel will be required (>50%), including driving and overnight stays. A BS in geology and 4+ years of relevant experience are required; preferred credentials include a Professional Geologist, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in geology or related geological science discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manage field-based tasks of environmental investigation and remediation programs.
• Oversee and lead well installation and sampling tasks, and communicate with PMs.
• Data management, evaluation and report writing with experience drafting environmental investigation and closure reports.
• Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, and ensures regulatory compliance (local, state, federal).
• Willingness to travel >50% of the time and mentor junior staff.
