Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Staff Geologist to perform field-based environmental and geologic assignments from our Wilmington, DE office. You will collect soil, groundwater and other media data, support project managers, and work with clients and subcontractors to ensure rigorous field practices.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Geology and 0-3 years of environmental consulting. Travel, overtime, and a safety-focused approach are part of daily duties; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 0-3 years of environmental consulting and management experience.
• Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work at client sites to collect data.
• Assist with research and data collection efforts for projects.
• Prepare environmental guidance documents, permit applications and compliance plans.
• Supervise subcontractors in the field.
• Participate in emergency response activities (on-call).
• Maintain confidentiality and follow safety regulations.
