Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Staff Geologist to perform field-based environmental and geologic assignments from our Wilmington, DE office. You will collect soil, groundwater and other media data, support project managers, and work with clients and subcontractors to ensure rigorous field practices.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Geology and 0-3 years of environmental consulting. Travel, overtime, and a safety-focused approach are part of daily duties; a valid driver's license is required.

This position will occasionally involve local and out-of-state overnight travel and may require work outside of normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed. It should be noted that opportunities may become available to earn additional compensation through overtime and on-call projects that operate outside of normal business hours.The Staff Geologist will be supported in all aspects of an environmental and/or geologic assignment. Daily interaction with colleagues, clients, the public, and subcontractors will be normal; adaptability and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.The annual salary range for this role is $53,000 to $63,000 commensurate with experience, skills and geographic location.To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:Work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, with peers, seniors, and our clients to build and strengthen relationshipsBe present and engaged in team and client meetings and share ideasConduct field work at client sites to collect data. Assignments may entail large project areas, distance travel on foot, over various terrains and in adverse weather conditions.
