Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Geologist/Environmental Specialist to plan and conduct geologic investigations, log cores, and manage groundwater monitoring well installations. You will prepare technical field notes and reports for projects across geotechnical and environmental disciplines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years of experience, and willing travel. Domestic and international assignments may occur, with compliance to safety and quality standards throughout field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical/environmental projects.
• U.S. citizen; able to pass background check and medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct geologic and environmental investigations.
• Log soil/rock cores and prepare boring logs per ASTM/USCS.
• Install and maintain groundwater monitoring wells.
• Prepare field notes and supporting documentation.
