Generator Supercenter of Tampa Bay is looking for a Generator Mechanic / Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain whole-home standby generators at residential sites. This field-based role emphasizes mechanical and electrical repair experience with small engines and ATS systems.

The role offers full-time hours (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM), a company vehicle, and benefits, with opportunities for advancement as you help keep homeowners powered and safe.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of generator service or related electrical/mechanical work.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehicle.
• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on whole-home standby generators.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systems.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Communicate with customers regarding services performed and recommendations.
• Document all work in service management software.
• Follow safety protocols around electricity.
• Support emergency service calls during outages.
