Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell tower sites across the region. This role rewards independent, self-motivated individuals who are willing to travel and stay adaptable in a fast-paced telecom environment.

You will diagnose, maintain, and repair generator systems, read blueprints, and follow safety protocols. The position requires physical readiness and the ability to work varied shifts, including overtime and on-call

Qualifications

• Two or more years of generator maintenance experience.
• Minimum of one year of intense work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair of Generators; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, install/replace components or whole systems, and perform upgrades on equipment.
• Conduct performance checks and routine maintenance on generators to ensure readiness; read blueprints or design specs to install or repair.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, wiring and controls; test for proper operation.
• Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms; be on-call 24/7 if necessary.
• Observe safety practices and attend designated safety training.
