Job summary
Pearce Services in the United States is seeking a Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers regionally. This role suits independent, self-starters willing to travel and adapt in a fast-paced telecom environment.
You will maintain generators, diagnose issues, install components, perform maintenance, read blueprints, and ensure readiness. You must be able to lift heavy gear, work on-call 24/7, and comply with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of generator maintenance experience.
- Minimum one year of experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
- Knowledge of generator installations, maintenance and repair of generators; electrical components.
- Basic knowledge of applicable FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair generators, install components, and perform upgrades on equipment.
- Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance, reading blueprints for installation or repair.
- Install fuel and water lines, pumps, wiring and test operation.
- Respond promptly to generator alarms; be on-call 24/7 as needed.
- Follow safety practices and attend safety meetings.
