Job summary

Pearce is a leading technology-enabled provider of asset management solutions for mission-critical electromechanical infrastructure across North America. Pearce seeks a skilled Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell tower sites, traveling as needed.

In this role you will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, install components, and respond to alarms. The position requires on-call availability, safety awareness, and the ability to lift heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of generator maintenance experience preferred.
• Minimum one year of intense work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair of generators; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness, reading and following blueprints or other design specifications to install or repair.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and test for proper operation.
• Be responsible for responding promptly/timely to Power/Generator alarms; have the ability to be on call 24/7 if necessary and respond promptly in answering assigned phone and email.
• Perform work with awareness of all potential hazards connected with installation and maintenance of power supply equipment, switching gear, and other equipment; use safety equipment and attend designated safety meetings.
