Job summary

GenSystems Power Solutions, based in Midland, TX, is seeking a Gas Turbine Operator to safely operate and monitor turbine-driven power generation equipment used in oil and gas field operations, including fracturing support. You will follow SOPs, perform routine inspections, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to keep power generation reliable.

The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work a 20/10 rotation, outdoors

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in gas turbine operations or power generation.
• Oil and gas field experience, preferably in hydraulic fracturing or e-frac.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Experience operating turbine-driven power generation equipment and electrical power systems.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and operating procedures.
• Willingness to work 20 days on/10 days off rotational schedule.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Military tech experience may satisfy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate turbine-driven power generation equipment in frac and e-frac operations.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, checks, and basic maintenance.
• Monitor parameters, generator performance, distribution systems, and alarms.
• Identify abnormal conditions and communicate issues to supervisors.
• Support startup, shutdown, load management, and transitions per procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs, readings, and shift reports.
• Work with field operations, maintenance, engineering to minimize downtime.
• Support commissioning, deployment, mobilization, demobilization, site setup.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO, PTW, JSA/JHA.
• Participate in safety meetings and incident reporting.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment per company policies.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
• Willingness for outdoor work in variable weather.
