Job summary

Tallgrass MLP Operations, LLC is seeking a Measurement Technician to install, maintain, and verify accuracy of natural gas measurement facilities. You will work with flow computers, chromatographs, analyzers, regulators, and meters, performing audits and responding to after-hours issues.

The role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent technical experience, strong math skills, and knowledge of safety standards. Travel, overtime, and rigorous data integrity duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field or related discipline.
• Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Experience with test instruments and gas chromatography.
• Knowledge of AGA, API, and GPA standards.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and operate measurement equipment.
• Detect measurement errors and correct volumes as needed and provide supporting documentation.
• Monitor assigned area measurement system, and ensure all corrections and proper qualities are applied.
• Perform audits of custody transfer and control data when necessary.
• Respond to after-hours call-outs and overtime as needed.
• Oversee construction/maintenance activities performed by third parties.
• Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork.
• Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic, and electrical equipment and controls.
