Job summary

SPL in Greeley, CO, is seeking a Gas Measurement Technician to support field-based gas measurement operations in Greeley, CO. You will perform meter inspections, calibration, data collection, and routine maintenance of gas measurement equipment.

You will work independently and with experienced technicians to ensure accurate data and compliance. The role requires a high school diploma and hands-on gas measurement experience; a valid driver's license is required.

We're seeking a Gas Measurement Technician to support field-based gas measurement operations in Greeley, CO.

In this role, you will perform meter inspections, data collection, calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of gas measurement equipment. You'll work independently and alongside experienced technicians, following established procedures and safety standards to ensure accurate and compliant data. This position offers hands-on field work and continued skill development in gas measurement systems.

What You'll Do

• Perform field-based gas measurement activities, including meter inspections, calibration, data collection, and routine maintenance
• Verify meter accuracy and ensure measurement systems are operating in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Collect, record, and submit measurement data, field notes, and documentation accurately and on time
• Assist with installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of gas measurement equipment and related instrumentation
• Identify and report measurement discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety concerns
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in proper working condition
• Communicate field findings and work status with supervisors, operations personnel, and team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Vocational or technical training in metering, instrumentation, or process control preferred
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in gas measurement, field instrumentation, meter calibration, and/or production measurement operations
• Previous experience working with gas measurement systems, flow computers, EFM systems, and RTUs, including meter inspections, calibrations, verifications, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance
• Working knowledge of natural gas measurement principles and related documentation strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Work Schedule & Travel

• Full-time, field-based position following a varying work schedule of 8-16 hours per day
• Flexibility to work overtime, on-call rotation schedule, extended hours, weekends, or holidays as required
• Daily local driving to field locations required, with occasional overnight travel depending on assignment and workload
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including hot, cold, and/or inclement temperature
