Job summary

Safariland is seeking an Operator FGA at the Los Alamos DOE site to ensure instrumentation runs accurately and safely. You will perform sampling, analyze headspace gases, and generate reports while coordinating with site leads and at-risk processes.

The role demands attention to detail, procedural discipline and strong teamwork. DOE familiarity and training are preferred; non-exempt status applies, with onsite responsibilities at multiple NM sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; chemist/math/engineering background preferred.
• DOE site experience preferred.
• Host site and procedural training and certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain NFT value through strong performance and clear chain of command.
• Sample and change filters on waste containers.
• Analyze headspace gas samples on Agilent GC/MS.
• Create batch data reports with independent technical review.
• Daily verify procedures and M&TE.
• Assist maintenance, calibrations and troubleshooting of instruments.
• Keep training current and up to date.
• Support other sites as requested.
