Job summary

Strategic Management Solutions, LLC (SMSI) seeks a Weapons Data Analyst SME to support LANL's Gas Transfer / Surveillance Systems area. The role requires an active DOE Q clearance and onsite work 4–5 days per week. This is a full-time position with a minimum 30 hours per week and a preference for 40 hours.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience supporting weapons-related data analysis and technical programs at LANL.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience required.
• Experience with DOE and weapons is required.
• Ability to recognize technical problems and apply data analysis to determine root causes and solutions.
• Ability to document and communicate results in a technical manner.
• Background in manufacturing and measurement techniques and process control limits.
• Candidate must be US citizen with active DOE Q clearance and Real ID driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide data support to manufacturing and engineering to drive data-driven decisions for gas transfer objectives.
• Develop knowledge of gas transfer system engineering practices for data validation and verification.
• Create new methods to address reporting and analyses of key criteria to enable production objectives.
• Coordinate with personnel to support production issues across projects.
• Research and review historical technical procedures as needed.
• Adhere to safety requirements for facilities with radioactive hazards, including Hazard Category 2.
