Job summary

Toyota Lift NW in Clackamas, OR is seeking an Experienced Forklift Field Technician to service and repair customer lift equipment at designated locations. You will perform PM services, field repairs, and safety inspections while upholding TLNW's 5S standards and safety policies.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of mechanical experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or lead small teams. This is a non-exempt hourly position reporting to the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with ability to shift priorities.
• Mechanical ability to repair equipment and adapt to various machines.
• Field techs must have over 4 years of mechanical experience or demonstrate capability.
• Strong communication skills, written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and lead small groups of technicians.
• Experience in customer service and material handling environments preferred.
• Ability to operate reach-truck, stock-picker, pallet jack and pass forklift certification.
• Must be a team player with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM services at a designated customer location.
• Visual check of customer lift and verify all lifts are signed up on PM.
• Perform field repairs at a designated customer location.
• Upsell during repairs and Preventative Maintenance agreements.
• Check in with Dispatcher via phone at start, during, and end of day.
• Document all work orders using Catavolt.
• Review work in process and complete all open orders promptly.
• Complete safety inspection forms monthly for vehicles and tools.
• Never compromise safety: surround work area with safety cones.
• Use proper PPE when needed and familiarize with tools.
• Practice 5S and stop, call, wait if unfamiliar with a task.
• Assist as needed for various projects; notify supervisor of safety concerns.
