Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is recruiting a Contract Utility Forester to identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines across Virginia. This role supports clients with clear recommendations and requires travel across the state.

You will plan and coordinate line-clearance activities, travel state-wide including overnight stays, and work with crews, clients, and customers to ensure safe, compliant vegetation management. Degree in forestry or related field or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or related field (or 2+ years of VM experience).
• Experience in Utility Vegetation Management preferred.
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan and coordinate line-clearance crews and activities.
• Discuss and negotiate crew access issues.
• Serve as liaison between clients, crews, and customers.
• Travel throughout Virginia, including overnight travel.
