Job summary

Atlas Field Services is seeking Consulting Utility Foresters/Utility Arborists to join our Pensacola, FL team as full-time employees. The role focuses on vegetation management with field duties, client systems usage, and coordination with landowners.

The ideal candidate will have forestry or GIS background, ISA certification or related degree, and experience in utility line clearance. The position includes safety-focused operations and growth opportunities with our team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Forestry or GIS or extensive line cleaning experience.
• Fully qualified to relieve client arborist.
• At least 3 years’ experience as an inventory/D design/arborist.
• Meets all requirements of Utility Arborist II and demonstrates leadership.
• ISA Certified Arborist or Natural Sciences BS Degree.
• Proficient in OM and CM work processes and WMS processes.
• A minimum of 1 year of utility line clearance experience or work planning.
• Meets all requirements of Utility Arborist III.
• Ability to learn GPS/GIS-based systems.
• Basic tree identification skills.
• Basic knowledge of electric utilities and regional tree species.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rights-of-way to assess vegetation conditions and determine maintenance.
• Utilize client systems and applications for field work.
• Assist with bid package maps and work manifests.
• Research easements, land rights, and restrictions.
• Meet landowners to explain vegetation work.
• Mark field work as required.
• Respond to public concerns about work.
• Assist in developing public relations materials.
• Answer contractor questions on work specs.
• Inspect contractor work for compliance with specs.
• Assist in managing contractors during storm restoration.
• Support on special utility projects as assigned.
