Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to manage vegetation across diverse landscapes. The role combines fieldwork with data collection to support safe power delivery and environmental stewardship.

You will work directly with utility clients, property owners, and contractors in a nationwide growth phase, contributing to professional development and safety excellence. This position emphasizes collaboration and practical, hands-on forestry work.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field and/or experience in utility line clearance.
• ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months of offer.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience with utility line clearance preferred.
• Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Excellent customer service skills a priority.
• Proficient in map navigation and data collection.
• GIS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data; including tree species, size, and distance from conductors.
• Validate data across databases to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Verify that summaries and charts reflect underlying datasets.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices.
• Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment on site.
