Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a Foreperson to coordinate crews, equipment, and supplies on contract vegetation projects. The role requires directing daily tasks, enforcing safety and PPE, and ensuring work aligns with specifications.

You will review plans, delegate work, and communicate with property owners to gain access for trimming or removal. The position is field-based and may involve travel for storm restoration.

Qualifications

• Must meet and demonstrate qualifications of all positions on a crew.
• Must follow verbal or written directives.
• Must delegate work and take accountability for crew performance.
• Must understand drawings and symbols for lines and equipment.
• Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and drive company vehicles.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate crew, equipment, and supplies per contract specs.
• Direct crew and manage equipment daily.
• Assign tasks and supervise performance.
• Plan and execute work safely and efficiently.
• Organize job assignments for efficient completion.
• Notify property owners and obtain access for work.
• Ensure PPE usage and safe practices on site.
• Trim/remove trees using ladders, saws, or lifts.
• Spray stumps/brush as needed to prevent regrowth.
• Load/unload trucks and operate chipper as required.
• Maintain daily time, equipment, and material records.
• Inspect completed work and report to customer.
• Perform daily truck inspections and briefings.
• Restock supplies and request repairs as needed.
• Travel for storm restoration work when required.
