Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Savannah, GA is seeking a Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, coordinating with management on hiring needs, deadlines, and safety protocols. You will mentor field staff and troubleshoot on-site issues to ensure productive, safe work.

The role emphasizes enforcement of OSHA standards, maintaining records, and delivering high-quality service while managing costs and equipment. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualificações

• Understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines and voltages.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Capable of adapting to field requirements and independent action.
• Must be able to safely drive a company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight restrictions due to equipment capacity (approx 300 pounds).
• Must be able to travel for storm work.

Responsabilidades

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA specifications and company policies and conducts safety training.
• Discusses with property owners issues such as access, power interruption, and work responsibilities; refers to General Foreperson as needed.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Promotes and maintains good customer relations through effective completion of assigned work and proper crew conduct.
• May be delegated authority to investigate incident reports and settle minor damage claims.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
• Controls crew costs, including manpower, work methods, and equipment use.
• Furnishes reports of orders completed and crew activity to General Foreperson and utility representatives.
• Occasionally furnishes reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, and property damage.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and warning signs to protect employees and public; acts to eliminate hazards.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and equipment; ensures DOT maintenance on vehicles.
• Keeps informed on new equipment, specifications, procedures, and policies.
