Job summary

Utilities Service, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to lead daily utility crew operations, coordinate with management on hiring needs, schedules, and safety protocols, and mentor field staff.

You will plan work, enforce OSHA standards, supervise training, manage equipment, and maintain records while delivering high-quality service.

The role requires a CDL, ability to travel for storm work, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and work independently.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Physical capability to perform required tasks (lifting, climbing, etc.).
• Willingness to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining, instructing crew on new job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Communicates with property owners about access, interruptions, and responsibilities.
• Gathers permissions to perform work and maintains relations with customers.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
• Controls crew costs and uses resources efficiently.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed, work units, and equipment status.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
