Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking a Fleet Field Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair our fleet vehicles and equipment at field and job-site locations. You will troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and reliability of our fleet in the field.

Travel to field locations is required, including overnight travel. Strong mechanical skills, CDL preferred, and ability to document work in the fleet system are essential for success

Qualifications

Five+ years of field-service or heavy‑equipment repair experience preferred.
Class A CDL and DOT medical certification preferred.
Experience servicing utility fleet equipment (bucket trucks, digger derricks, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair fleet vehicles at field locations and job sites.
Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, brake, and suspension systems.
Travel to field locations, including overnight trips, to support repairs.
Document maintenance and repairs in the fleet management system.
