Job summary

United Utility Services seeks a Fleet Road Mechanic to service and repair our fleet across field sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to repair needs, and travel regularly to client locations to keep vehicles in safe, reliable condition.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or GED, a vocational auto-repair background, and at least three years’ experience with heavy equipment. A strong safety mindset and ability to work overtime as needed are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three years’ experience as a mechanic with heavy equipment.
• Must pass United Utility training and have basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles and fleet equipment at field sites.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Identify mechanical problems using visual checks and diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems such as brakes, belts, water pumps, transmissions.
• Plan repair schedules and order parts as needed.
• Travel to job sites to inspect, maintain and repair vehicles.
