Job summary

United Rentals in the United States is seeking a Fleet Technician II for Mobile Storage to maintain and repair containers, ground-level offices, and modular buildings. The role requires safe practices, completing work orders, and coordinating with CDL drivers.

You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC tasks, inspections, documentation, and field service at customer sites, with opportunities to mentor others and uphold 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Active state driver’s license
• 3-5 years of experience with basic electrical, plumbing and/or welding repairs
• Strong time management and documentation skills
• Teamwork and customer service mindset
• Ability to work safely and follow procedures

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards
• Perform repairs and installations on floors, roofs, walls, doors, windows, and related components
• Carry out basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks with minimal direction
• Travel to customer sites to set up offices and assist CDL drivers when needed
• Document work orders and materials used in mobile applications
• Coach and mentor less experienced staff and maintain 5S in shop and yard
