Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Suppression Service Technician to inspect, test, service, and maintain fire suppression systems and portable extinguishers at commercial and industrial sites. This field-based role offers hands-on work with training and mentorship to grow in the life-safety trades.

Expect to travel within your territory, lift heavy equipment, and document findings for customers and internal teams while upholding safety standards and NFPA codes.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of fire suppression system service experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanically inclined with interest in hands-on technical work.
• Comfort using hand tools and basic equipment.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders or in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for use with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and recharge kitchen and industrial fire suppression systems and portable extinguishers.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ensure all work meets NFPA and local code requirements.
• Document work performed and communicate findings to customers and internal teams.
• Represent Encore professionally on every job site and provide a customer-focused experience.
• Work independently in the field and as part of a team to complete tasks safely.
