Job summary

Integrity Fire Safety Services is seeking a Kitchen Hood Suppression Technician to inspect, test, service, repair, and install commercial kitchen hood fire suppression systems in Basalt, CO. The role supports life safety in restaurants and commercial kitchens, following NFPA standards and local codes.

The position is full-time, field-based with travel to job sites. Candidates should have relevant training or 1–2 years of experience, and be committed to safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in fire protection systems preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in kitchen hood suppression system inspection, installation, or service (preferred).
• Certifications for kitchen suppression systems (e.g., Ansul, Kidde, Range Guard, Pyro-Chem) highly preferred.
• State or local fire suppression license (if applicable).
• OSHA 10 or 30 safety certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test & maintain kitchen hood fire suppression systems per NFPA 17A, NFPA 96, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning kitchen hood suppression systems and install new systems per design specs.
• Provide clear communication with customers regarding inspection results and recommendations.
• Maintain inspection reports, service tickets, and repair logs; ensure compliance with NFPA standards and AHJ requirements.
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures; keep tools and service vehicles in good condition.
