Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC has an immediate opening for an On-Site Fire Protection Technician for mining locations served by our Hiller Mining Team. This position is based around Denver, CO, with travel to other CO mining locations and day trips with little overnight travel.

You will install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems on large mining equipment in accordance with NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel for work.
• Willingness to learn mining fire protection systems.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Install and service fire suppression systems on mining equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and testing.
• Prepare detailed inspection and test reports in NFPA standards.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Respond to service calls and coordinate with clients.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document activities.
• Maintain safety and coordinate with clients.
