Job summary

Everon is seeking a field service technician in Austin, TX to conduct routine tests and inspections of fire alarm, fire safety, and sprinkler systems. You will document deficiencies, verify operations, and prepare reports for management.

Responsibilities include interfacing with service management, explaining work to customers, and ensuring a positive customer experience while maintaining inventory and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school or vocational training completed.
• Experience inspecting fire alarm products and sprinkler systems.
• Proficient in using a personal computer.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams and other documents in English.
• Familiarity with fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine tests and inspections, documents deficiencies of fire alarm systems, fire safety systems, fire sprinkler systems and other fire safety product lines according to prescribed processes.
• Verifies proper operation; prepares accurate and timely documentation of work performed.
• Prepares inspection/ deficiency reports for submission to management.
• Interfaces with service management to ensure that all work is scheduled/handled.
• Interfaces with customers to explain work performed and answers their questions.
• Resolves customer concerns as quickly and effectively as possible.
• Must ensure customer satisfaction and a positive customer experience.
• Maintains and organizes truck inventory (parts and tools) to ensure proper response to customers’ needs.
• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Must have a strong work ethic.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.
