Job summary

Buckeye Partners in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a Field Business Associate to provide financial and business support to the South Texas Asset Team, overseeing expense tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and variances. In this role you will manage invoice processing, accruals, cost analysis, and monthly reporting, partner with budget owners, and help drive cost awareness and accountability.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in accounting or business analysis and a bachelor’s degree;

Qualifications

• 2+ years in business analysis, accounting, bookkeeping or related roles.
• Experience in midstream oil & gas is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the coding and processing of invoices for the South Texas Asset Team.
• Work with budget owners to compile accurate monthly accruals and ensure costs are recorded in the correct period.
• Analyze actual costs on a monthly basis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable takeaways; present findings to asset team leadership.
• Review actual costs monthly and correct any errors (e.g., miscoding's, expense vs. capital classifications).
• Work with budget owners to compile clear, concise comments explaining variances to budget/forecast for inclusion in monthly reporting packages.
