Buckeye Partners is seeking a Field Business Associate to join the South Texas Asset Team, providing financial and business support, managing expense tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting to enable sound decisions.

The role collaborates with budget owners and leadership to drive cost awareness, produce accruals, analyze costs, and lead the annual operating budget exceeding $65 million. Office-based in Corpus Christi, TX.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in business analysis, accounting, bookkeeping or related roles; midstream oil & gas experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; comfortable learning new software and systems; experience with Oracle JDE, OneStream, Insight, and Open Invoice is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee expense management and financial reporting for the South Texas Asset Team.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, including annual operating budget with multi-area spend (> $65 million).
• Coordinate monthly accruals with budget owners and ensure costs are properly recorded.
• Train team members on budgeting processes and financial guidelines; ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Provide ad hoc financial data requests to asset team leadership and other stakeholders.
