Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our national client base. This hands-on role covers certification, testing, troubleshooting, and splicing across diverse environments.

Ideal candidates have fiber, I.T., or telecom experience, along with certifications such as FOA/CFOT/BICSI/Network+. Travel and on-site work are required, with a paid hourly on-site arrangement and travel pay possibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with fiber testing and troubleshooting is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic and technical tasks including fusion/mechanical splicing, OTDR testing, power meter testing, and fiber certification.
• Conduct fiber continuity testing and fault-distance identification.
• Inspect, clean, and remediate connectors; replace fiber jumpers as needed.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber cabling.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
• Work independently across environments (retail, medical, restaurant, corporate, data center).
• Maintain professionalism with clients and stakeholders; be available for service requests within coverage territory, not full-time.
