Job summary

Charter Communications is seeking a Fiber Technician I to locate and repair fiber impairments in the field, primarily working independently. You’ll examine existing fiber plant and connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers to keep our network running smoothly.

The role requires knowledge of fiber architectures, CWDM/DWDM, and a valid driver's license, with certifications and one year of maintenance tech experience preferred. This is a full-time position in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and industry certifications (NCTI/SCTE/BCT).
• At least 1 year maintenance tech or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of fiber architectures and CWDM/DWDM.
• Ability to stand and use hand tools; climb poles infrequently.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities
