Job summary

Ontivity is seeking a Splicing Technician to terminate fiber optic cables and support OSP construction teams. The role includes installation, maintenance, fault repair, and end-to-end service testing in a field environment.

Applicants should have 1–3 years of tower climbing or rigging experience, a GED or high school diploma, and a valid driver's license; CDL is a plus. This is a safety-sensitive position with extensive travel (80–100%).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; trade school preferred.
• Experience climbing towers, stacking, rigging (1–3 years).
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Must pass pre-employment screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable installation, construction, maintenance, and repair work.
• Assist the OSP construction team in placing cable and locating existing cable/duct.
• Locate and repair cable faults to maintain network integrity.
• Test end-to-end service provisioning and verify terminations.
• Review site surveys and design drawings for feasibility.
