Centerline is expanding its offices in Maine and seeks qualified Fiber Splice Technicians to meet growing demand in the Northeast. This role involves a mix of independent fieldwork and collaboration with customers on ISP and OSP projects. Candidates should possess strong technical skills, a high school diploma, and be able to adjust to required travel and overtime. Ideal applicants will demonstrate fiber splicing expertise and a commitment to safety and quality in their work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fiber Optic Splice Technician.
• Ability to perceive differences in colors.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Capable of lifting 25 lbs continuously.
• Must pass OSHA-10 Certification within 90 days.
• Must pass DOT Physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform splice and termination abilities for fiber cables.
• Train junior technicians and manage projects.
• Collaborate with customers on specific needs.
• Travel and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Skills

Fiber optic test and troubleshooting

Cable prep/single and mass fusion splicing

Understanding of OSP/ISP splice enclosures

Basic computer functions

Project management abilities

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
