Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking an Optical Service Technician to install, test, troubleshoot, and QA fiber optic and network infrastructure across data centers and customer sites. This field-based role requires independent work, local travel, and leadership during field activities.

You will perform OTDR/OLTS testing, follow project specs, and document results while supporting migrations and ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of documented experience in fiber optic and network installations.
• Proven ability to work in live production environments and support migrations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specs, and testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cabling systems.
• Perform OTDR and OLTS testing and analysis per project specs.
• Execute installations according to standards and customer requirements.
• Lead field activities and coordinate with technicians and project managers.
• Document results, activities, and deliverables accurately.
• Maintain safety and QA/QC throughout all field tasks.
• Support network migrations and develop run books for repeatable processes.
