Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Fiber Optic Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber networks across multiple job sites in Borger, TX. You will follow safety protocols and company standards to deliver high-quality network services.

Responsibilities include installing splice enclosures, testing fiber, coordinating daily crew activities, and ensuring safe, productive work sites. Valid driver's license required; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Understanding of fiber optic installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and industry standards.
• Strong coordination and communication for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Installation of fiber splice enclosures
• Onsite plant fiber optic cable slicing, to include both loose tube fiber and ribbon fiber
• Unidirectional and bidirectional fiber testing
• Fiber troubleshooting and repair, test report generation
• Coordinate daily crew activities and work schedule
• Maintaining a safe and quality work site and location
• Maintain Fiber equipment and tools
• Daily inspection of all equipment assigned to crew
• Maintain daily production rates
• Ensure work is conducted in a safe manner and according to company safety and OSHA practices
