Job summary

Centric Fiber Op Co, LLC is seeking a Technician – Fiber Installations to join our field team. You will perform fiber splicing, residential installs, and on-site troubleshooting, interfacing with home builders and subscribers in Centric communities.

This role requires a valid driver's license, 2+ years telecom experience, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and travel to Texas markets up to 10%. Training provided, benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of related telecommunications or mass media experience.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables and connections.
• Serve as point of contact for 3rd party contractors for troubleshooting.
• Conduct residential home installations of internet, phone, TV, and cable services.
• Provide customer assistance, education, and information on Centric services and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site service issues.
• Upsell applications and additional equipment when appropriate.
• Coordinate to meet customer appointments and company commitments.
• Interface with customers and technical teams to address subscriber issues and schedule work.
