TekCom Resources, Inc. is seeking a Construction Supervisor/Coordinator to oversee Outside Plant fiber projects in the Oshkosh/Janesville area. You will supervise field crews, coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure safety and quality on aerial and underground installs.

The role emphasizes hands-on fusion fiber splicing, field inspections, and coordinating pre-construction planning and closeout. Local travel is typical within 1-2 hours of the assigned market.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of field construction experience, preferably in telecommunications or OSP fiber construction.
• Fusion Splicing Experience At least 6 months of hands-on OSP construction experience.
• Experience supervising or coordinating field crews, subcontractors, or construction activities.
• Understanding of construction quality, safety requirements, and schedules.
• Ability to inspect sites and verify work progress.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to independently manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel to local construction sites five days per week.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily OSP fiber construction, including aerial and underground installations.
• Coordinate internal crews and subcontractors to complete work safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Conduct field inspections, verifying location, scope, quality, and quantity of work completed each day.
• Monitor fiber installation, splicing activities, testing, and construction progress.
• Support pre-construction planning, field preparation, and project closeout.
• Maintain construction schedules, track crew productivity, and uphold performance standards.
• Review redlines, permitting, pole work, and right-of-way requirements.
• Maintain documentation for crew hours, contractor billing, supplies, equipment, safety, and progress.
• Communicate milestones, issues, and project updates to management, customers, and departments.
• Ensure compliance with company safety practices and applicable construction standards.
• Perform additional construction coordination duties as assigned.
