Job summary

Quindar is seeking a Forward Deployed Product Engineer to ensure our satellite-mission software runs reliably at the edge. You will work in the field, in ops centers, and with customers, spanning the full stack from infrastructure to frontend while leveraging AI to accelerate shipping and product evolution.

You will translate field insights into roadmaps, embed with customer teams, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to productionize prototypes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a customer-facing focus.
• Proven track record deploying or supporting production software in mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with TypeScript or Java is a plus.
• Experience building software with AI tools such as Cursor, Amp, ChatGPT.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bias toward action and ability to ship prototypes quickly in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy our software in customer environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues across backend APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, and frontend.
• Travel to customer sites and embed with operations teams, building relationships.
• Prototype products and iterate quickly with live customer data and feedback.
• Voice of the customer in product discussions, translating field insights into roadmap priorities.
• Partner with Product & Engineering to turn prototypes into production code.
• Develop playbooks for repeatable integrations and maintain clear documentation.
