Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Facilities Service Technician / Building Engineer to support operation, maintenance, and repair of commercial building systems in Austin, TX. You'll ensure HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems operate safely and reliably across client sites.

This hands-on role requires troubleshooting complex systems, updating CMMS records, and providing on-call support while traveling to multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Universal EPA/CFC Certification required.
• 4+ years hands-on building engineering or facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience with HVAC/R, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and production equipment.
• Experience maintaining commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on facility mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R equipment, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
• Conduct facility inspections and identify issues affecting operations or occupancy.
• Learn and apply equipment-specific procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Update work orders and service records in CMMS such as Corrigo.
• Submit P-card receipts and required documentation daily.
• Provide on-call support and assist with additional maintenance projects.
