Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking an Area Facilities Operations Specialist (AFOS) to support the U.S. Army Reserve 99th Readiness Division Directorate of Public Works at Fort Totten, NY.

The AFOS provides field and office facilities operations support, conducts site visits, assesses conditions, and coordinates maintenance and repairs with customers, vendors, and Government staff. Travel within the assigned area is required; a Government-provided vehicle may be used.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years in facilities operations or a related field.
• Experience inspecting and maintaining building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to work both in the field and office with travel within the duty area.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and Government personnel.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine facility site visits to monitor conditions of building systems.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate maintenance needs with vendors and Government staff.
• Review work orders for completeness and contribute to government reviews.
• Maintain inspection documents and reports using government systems.
• Coordinate access, scheduling, and communications with stakeholders.
