Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking an Area Facilities Operations Specialist to support U.S. Army Reserve facilities within a defined region. The role combines field visits with office-based reporting to monitor building systems, identify deficiencies, and coordinate maintenance activities.

You will review work orders, perform condition assessments, and prepare findings for government review while coordinating with customers and service providers. Travel within the assignment is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of experience in facilities operations or closely related field.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and general building maintenance.
• Experience with inspections, condition assessments, maintenance coordination, or QA surveillance.
• Environmental compliance awareness for facility operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel using a Government vehicle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine facility site visits to monitor physical and functional building systems.
• Identify, document, and validate facility deficiencies and repair needs during inspections.
• Review work orders for completeness and technical sufficiency; make recommendations.
• Perform facility condition assessments and QA surveillance of work performed.
• Coordinate site access, customer communication, and field scheduling with stakeholders.
• Maintain awareness of facility conditions and coordinate with regional personnel.
• Prepare findings and support project-package development with technical observations.
