Job summary

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is seeking a full-time Support Services Lead Tech to oversee infrastructure and landscaping across the property and associated facilities. The role requires operating maintenance equipment, performing basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical tasks, and ensuring safety compliance.

Responsibilities include handling help desk tickets, assisting maintenance teams, and being available for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
Must be able to safely operate equipment normally associated with gardening and farming.
Must be able to use hand tools and gas- or electric-powered tools and equipment.
Required to perform basic maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Handle Help Desk tickets that require a skilled technician.
Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
Provide basic support for the facility, including garbage removal, customer service, and patrolling roadways.
Manage forage production.
Drive and operate small maintenance equipment (chainsaws, weed trimmers, mowers, hand tools, trucks, lawn tractors).
Drive and operate farm and heavy equipment (tractors, balers, road graders).
Clean and maintain garden and maintenance equipment.
Maintain regular attendance and be available for after-hours and weekend call-outs.
