Job summary

Western Washington University in Bellingham seeks a Field Supervisor for the Office of Field Experience. This non-tenure track pool position supports teacher certification programs across multiple counties and supervises student teaching candidates as an intern coordinator.

NTT UICs will observe, mentor, and collaborate with school personnel, completing evaluations and required documentation. Training is provided, and roles are temporary and part-time based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with graduate credits preferred.
• Experience in teaching and/or administrative roles.
• Evidence of accomplished pre K-12 teaching and ability to mentor.
• Experience working with diverse populations and mentoring training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• NTT UICs supervise teacher education candidates and collaborate with school personnel in evaluation, support, and mentoring of each candidate.
• Minimum hours of observation, mentoring, collaboration, and completion of internship evaluations; submission of required documents to OFE.
• Training is provided to new hires.
