Job summary

California State University, East Bay is seeking fieldwork supervisors for the Department of Teacher Education. The pool may be used for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 to observe field experiences from preschool through 12th grade, with supervising duties conducted both in-person and online.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree and be prepared to work as temporary, part-time instructional faculty. Budget and enrollment considerations apply; position may include courses at multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• All applicants must have a Master's degree.
• Supervisors should be expert in the content area of the candidate and should have recent professional experiences in school settings.
• Supervisors maintain current knowledge of supervision approaches and content-specific pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and electronic visits to East Bay school sites to observe students during their fieldwork experiences.
• Complete a variety of assessment measures documenting each candidate’s mastery of California Teaching Standards.
• Attend virtual Supervisor meetings.
• Teaching assignments at Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online may be included as needed.
