Grand Canyon Education, Inc. invites applications for a Field Experience Counselor to coordinate clinical/practicum activities and serve as a liaison to faculty and students.

This role includes two weeks of training—one week in-person at our Phoenix, AZ campus and the following week virtually via Zoom. Starting salary is $38,000 per year, with remote opportunities for AZ/ID/UT residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (marketing, education or business) OR 2 years’ related experience with at least 60 college credits.
• 6 months related professional experience in higher education preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Ability to handle a high-volume inbound/outbound calls and present information clearly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Collect immunization and health/safety documentation for practicum rotations.
• Ensure students meet deadlines and notify parties of non-compliance.
• Communicate with students and faculty before documents expire.
• Assist with placement of students in practicum/clinical rotations.
• Handle high volume of calls while maintaining customer service standards.
• Establish rapport with students and monitor progress toward requirements.
• Encourage students to stay on track with practicum requirements.
• Work with the team to support other members and priorities.

This position acts as a liaison to faculty members and students by performing the below duties. This position offers remote work opportunities for residents in AZ, ID, or UT.

New hire training will encompass two full weeks of training. One week will be held in-person at our Phoenix, AZ campus, and the following week will be held virtually via Zoom.

As a Field Experience Counselor, a typical week might include the following:

• Collects and tracks immunization and health and safety documentation required for clinical and practicum rotations.

• Ensures students meet all required deadlines and notifies appropriate parties of non-compliance.

• Communicates to students and faculty before documentation expires or a file becomes out of date.

• Assists with placement of students in practicum, clinical rotations, including monitoring site issues.

• Handles high volume of outbound and inbound student calls while meeting GCU customer service standards.

• Establishes rapport and relationships with students.

• Encourages students to ensure they are on track with meeting clinical and practicum requirements.

• Works as part of a high-performance team and encourages and supports other team members.

• Handles multiple priorities and tasks in an effective and efficient manner.

The role might be right for you if you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree (highly preferred in marketing, education or business administration) OR 2 years’ related experience with a least 60 college credits completed.

• 6 months related professional experience in higher education preferred.

• Experience in healthcare settings preferred.

• A combination of education and relevant work experience may be substituted.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, healthcare clients, students, and the general public.

• Ability to handle a high-volume of inbound/outbound calls effectively.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
