Job summary

Walden University seeks a Field Experience Coordinator to work with students and field instructors to secure placements. This role requires an MSW degree and 2+ years of post-MSW practice experience.

You will serve as the main contact for a student cohort, coordinate with the Office of Field Experience, and establish field site affiliations. The position involves reporting, training teammates, and ensuring smooth onboarding of sites and students.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited university.
• 2+ years of post-MSW practice experience required.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact for a cohort of students regarding field experience.
• Coordinate with Office of Field Experience to assist graduate students who require field experience.
• Establish affiliation agreements with field sites and liaise with university contract administrators.
• Coordinate completion of site onboarding requirements with students and field sites.
• Track and maintain field experience resources, policies and procedures, student field experience files, site and site supervisor information.
• Develop and maintain field experience communications to students, faculty, site supervisors, and other parts of the university.
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
• Collaborate on projects and initiatives to improve service levels and student satisfaction.
• Contact agency representatives to initiate the agency approval process.
• Assist students to locate field experience agencies.
• Conduct interviews with agencies to determine suitability for field experience.
• Review agency field instructor documents to ensure supervision criteria.
• Respond to questions from students, field instructors, and agency directors.
• Educate stakeholders about field policies and expectations.
• Facilitate orientations for students with the MSW Field Director.
• Enter and update student and agency documents in the social work database.
• Collaborate to complete agency affiliation agreements when needed.
• Attend meetings with OALA coordinators for collaboration.
