Job summary

Met-Con, Inc. seeks a Field Operations Manager to oversee field erection activities for structural steel and miscellaneous metals.

You will lead the Structural Ironworking and Miscellaneous Metals teams, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution across multiple sites. Responsibilities include directing field crews, coordinating manpower, and ensuring compliance with erection plans, lift plans, and standards from AISC, PCI, AWS, SDI, and SJI.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in steel erection
• 3+ years in field management
• OSHA 30 certification required; rigging/signalperson/CPR preferred
• Ability to travel to job sites and work extended hours
• Valid Driver's License required

Responsibilities

• Direct field superintendents, foremen, leadmen, and ironworker crews.
• Coordinate manpower needs and assign crews to meet project demands.
• Oversee erection operations across multiple sites to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Develop and ensure compliance with erection plans, lift plans, and sequencing strategies.
• Lead safety audits, hazard analyses, and incident investigations; promote safety culture.
• Provide regular progress and safety reporting; support preconstruction logistics and risk assessment.
