Job summary

Mooring Disaster Restoration + Commercial Construction is seeking an Equipment Technician to support our rapid-response restoration and catastrophe projects. You will maintain and repair complex mechanical and electrical gear, deploy and monitor electrical distribution on site, and travel as needed to client sites across the US.

Based in the DFW area, you will join a team focused on safety, reliability, and excellence in service delivery, ensuring equipment, projects, and personnel operate

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment with an understanding of schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs and greater than 45 lbs occasionally.
• Must own tools applicable to position; Mooring USA will assist with high-priced tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical equipment, generators, dehumidifiers, and diesel systems on rental equipment; use independent judgment.
• Maintenance on Mooring USA fleet: Trucks, Vans, Trailers; oil changes, registrations, inspections.
• Travel at a moment’s notice for weeks at a time.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicles clean and professional.
• Set up electrical distribution and monitor on location until the emergency job is completed.
• Assist in training of lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in FULLBAY daily.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
