Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in El Paso, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a range of rental equipment. You will document service work and occasionally travel to customer sites, demonstrating equipment as needed.

This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of diesel/HVAC repair experience, and solid diagnostic skills. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs are necessary.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic systems.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Responsible for service documentation.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
