Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Power HVAC Field Service Technician in El Paso, TX to maintain and repair diesel engines, HVAC and dehumidification equipment, providing safe, professional service and customer support on site.

You will demonstrate equipment, perform maintenance, and collaborate with the Service Department. Travel within the US/Canada is required up to two weeks at a time, up to six months yearly, with a focus on safety and quality service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient knowledge with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Travel within the US and Canada for up to two weeks at a time.
• Travel up to 6 total months in a year.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Report equipment condition before and after usage.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment.
• Undertake other duties as needed.
